[:no]\"bakke0x2c_per_0x2830x29\"<\/a>Med formidling menes \u00e5 spre informasjon om forskningsresultater ut i samfunnet ut over det som publiseres i vitenskapelige tidsskrift. Formidling er en av hovedoppgavene til Universitetet i Bergen, og var et tema p\u00e5 universitetslederkonferansen i forrige uke.<\/p>\n

Hvorfor er formidling viktig? I tillegg til at det er et krav fra myndighetene underst\u00f8tter formidling demokratiet. Dette kan synes pomp\u00f8st, men i dages kompliserte verden er det i \u00f8kende grad viktig \u00e5 informere b\u00e5de politiker og velgere mest mulig. Det kan vi som forskere bidra med.<\/p>\n

Formidling kan underst\u00f8tte egen forskning ved \u00e5 fremme sitering av ens vitenskapelige publikasjoner samt bidra til tilslag p\u00e5 forskningss\u00f8knader. Det er i \u00f8kende grad krav om at s\u00f8knader skal inneholde en plan for formidling. Da er det ikke lenger nok \u00e5 anf\u00f8re at en vil publisere resultatene i pasienttidsskrift og i pressen. \u00c5 kunne vise til at man allerede driver aktiv formidling bidrar til troverdighet av formidlingsplanen i neste forskningss\u00f8knad.<\/p>\n

Formidling vil kunne bidra til \u00e5 skaffe gode s\u00f8kere til utlyste PhD- og postdoc- og forsker-stillinger. Rektor har p\u00e5pekt at formidling b\u00f8r v\u00e6re en faktor som inng\u00e5r ved l\u00f8nnsvurderinger av vitenskapelig ansatte.<\/p>\n

Ved MOF er vi heldig \u00e5 ha Marion Solheim som kan hjelpe til ved formidling. Marion er journalist og er mer verd enn resten av formidlingsavdelingen ved UiB til sammen. Jeg vil oppfordre til at formidling settes p\u00e5 dagsordenen i forskningsgruppene. Ikke n\u00f8l med \u00e5 ta kontakt med Marion for hjelp til formidling<\/p>\n

Dissemination\u00a0implies to inform the public about research results beyond what is published in scientific journals. Dissemination is one of the main tasks of the University of Bergen, and was a topic at the university management conference last week.<\/p>\n

Why is dissemination important? In addition to being a requirement from the authorities, dissemination is important to democracy. This may seem pompous, but in the complicated world of today it is increasingly important to inform both politicians and voters as much as possible. As scientists we can contribute in this aspect.<\/p>\n

Dissemination\u00a0may promote citation of scientific publications as well as improving chances of success in research applications. It is a requirement that applications must include a plan for dissemination. It is no longer enough to state that scientific results will be published in patient journals and in the press. Being able to demonstrate that dissemination already takes place contributes to the credibility of the dissemination plan in the next research application.<\/p>\n

Dissemination may help to obtain good applicants for advertised PhD and postdocs and research positions.\u00a0 The Dean has pointed out that\u00a0dissemination should be a factor included in the salary assessments of the academic staff.<\/p>\n

At\u00a0MOF we are fortunate to have Marion Solheim who can help with dissemination. Marion is a journalist and is worth more than the rest of the communication department at UiB combined. I will call upon you to put dissemination on the agenda of the research groups. Do not hesitate to contact Marion if you need help as to dissemination.<\/p>\n
