[:no]\"Per<\/a>Universitetet har et \u00f8kt fokus p\u00e5 adressering og tilh\u00f8righet, ikke bare i forbindelse med publikasjoner, men ogs\u00e5 ved kontakter med pressen. I sistnevnte tilfeller er det viktig \u00e5 p\u00e5se at vi adresseres med instituttnavn og deretter Universitetet i Bergen. Om man ogs\u00e5 velger f\u00f8rst \u00e5 ta med navnet p\u00e5 forskningsgruppen, er det selvsagt helt greit. N\u00e5r det gjelder tittel er man for eksempel professor ved Klinisk Institutt 2, UiB. For de som har ogs\u00e5 har stilling ved for eksempel Haukeland Universitetssykehus eller Stavanger Universitetssykehus er man der \u00a0overlege. Vi er ikke professor ved disse sykehusene.<\/p>\n

Man kan hevde at dette vil man ikke f\u00e5 pressen med p\u00e5 fordi det er for omstendelig. Men det er ikke tilfellet. Et ferskt eksempel p\u00e5 at det g\u00e5r an, er Laurence Bindoff som nylig var omtalt i VG<\/a>. Han ble korrekt adressert med Klinisk institutt 1, Universitetet i Bergen. Det er en god regel \u00e5 be om \u00e5 f\u00e5 teksten til gjennomlesing, og da er det lurt \u00e5 benytte muligheten til \u00e5 sjekke at ogs\u00e5 adresseringen er korrekt som beskrevet over. Min erfaring er at ogs\u00e5 journalistene er interessert i at det som kommer p\u00e5 trykk skal v\u00e6re korrekt.<\/p>\n

Per[:en]\"Per<\/a>The university has an increased focus on correct affiliation, not only related to publications, but also in contact with the press. In the latter case, it is important to check that we are addressed by the name of the institute and then University of Bergen. You may also want to first state the name of the research group, and that is of course OK. As to the title, we for are for instance professor at the Department of Clinical Science, UoB. Those who are also employed by the for instance Haukeland University Hospital or Stavanger University Hospital may be consultant, while not professor at the hospitals.<\/p>\n

One may argue that the press will not accept such an affiliation as it is too extensive. However, Laurence Bindoff at K1 is a recent example that this is quite possible. When his research was presented in VG<\/a>, he was addressed with Department of Clinical Medicine, UoB.
\nA good advice is to review the text prior to publication and this is an opportunity to also check the affiliation. My experience is that also the journalists want the content of their papers to be correct.<\/p>\n
