Gjennomgang av v\u00e5r prosjektportef\u00f8lje viste at K2 har hatt stor suksess i konkurranse om b\u00e5de NFR- og EU-midler de siste \u00e5rene. I 2013 ble 5 av 18 s\u00f8knader til NFR finansiert (28 prosent), mens tallet for 2014 var 7 av 19 (37 prosent). Innvilgelsesprosenten totalt var i 2014 11 prosent. K2 har ogs\u00e5 hatt suksess med EU-s\u00f8knadene sine. Av 24 s\u00f8knader er 4 innvilget (17 prosent), inkludert 1 der Helse Bergen er partner og UiB tredjepart og 1 prosjekt der UiB er koordinator. Generelt har innvilgelsesprosentene i de f\u00f8rste utlysningene i H2020-programmet ligget p\u00e5 5 prosent og under.<\/p>\n<p>For \u00e5 vinne fram i hard nasjonal og internasjonal konkurranse m\u00e5 man jobbe systematisk. Det er n\u00e6rliggende \u00e5 tro at det opplegget vi har benyttet ved NFR-s\u00f8knadsskriving de siste \u00e5rene har hatt betydning for at vi har \u00f8kt v\u00e5r konkurranseevne. Gode forskningsr\u00e5dgivere har ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6rt en viktig del av fremgangen. Det var derfor bred enighet i ledergruppen om \u00e5 bygge videre p\u00e5 det opplegget som vi har etablert. Det best\u00e5r av:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skissediskusjoner i plenum<\/li>\n<li>Budsjetteringshjelp fra administrasjonen<\/li>\n<li>Skrivesupport b\u00e5de fra forskningsr\u00e5dgivere og erfarne kollegaer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For \u00e5 ta del i disse \u00abhjelpetjenestene\u00bb er det n\u00f8dvendig at s\u00f8kerne overholder tidsfrister. Deltagelse er ogs\u00e5 en ypperlig anledning til \u00e5 f\u00e5 testet og forbedret egne ideer og hjelpe andre til \u00e5 forbedre sine s\u00f8knader. For \u00e5 n\u00e5 opp i konkurransen beh\u00f8ves ikke bare kreative ideer, men ofte ogs\u00e5 en bred og multi-disiplin\u00e6r tiln\u00e6rming til den problemstillingen en vil l\u00f8se og gode planer for formidling og forskerutdanning. Alt dette kan man f\u00e5 innspill og ideer til i en strukturert prosess der alle hjelper hverandre.<\/p>\n<p>En ting er i hvert fall sikkert -den som ikke s\u00f8ker f\u00e5r heller ikke midler til \u00e5 forske for.<\/p>\n<p>Lykke til med v\u00e5rens viktigste eventyr<\/p>\n<p>Eystein[:en]<a href=\"http:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2015\/05\/Eystein-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-6568 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2015\/05\/Eystein-2.jpg\" alt=\"Eystein 2\" width=\"174\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The extended leader group has just discussed application strategies for 2016. A review of our project portfolio showed that K2 has had great success in the competition for the NRC and EU grants in recent years. In 2013, 5 of the 18 applications to the NRC was funded (28 percent), while the figure for 2014 was 7 of 19 (37 percent). The total percentage granted in 2014 was 11 percent. K2 has also had success with their EU applications. Of 24 applications 4 have been granted (17 percent), including 1 where Helse Bergen is partner and UiB third party and 1 project where UiB is coordinator. The funding percentages in the first calls in the H2020-program have been at 5 per cent or less.<\/p>\n<p>To succeed in fierce national and international competition one must work systematically. We believe that the approach we have used for writing of NRC applications in recent years has contributed to our success and increased our competitiveness. Good research advisers have also been instrumental and in many cases had decisive impact.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, there was a broad agreement to continue our application procedures consisting of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plenary proposal discussions<\/li>\n<li>Budgeting help from the administration<\/li>\n<li>Writing support from both research advisors and experienced colleagues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To take part in these &laquo;support services&raquo; it is necessary that applicants comply with deadlines. Participation is also an excellent opportunity to test and improve your own ideas and to help others improve their applications. To obtain funding it is often not enough to have a creative idea, a broad and multi-disciplinary approach to the problem is regularly required, including good plans for dissemination and research training.
