The project will establish new on-call rooms, validation rooms, and workspaces on the second floor of the atrium in the Laboratory Building. Unfortunately, this will require the atrium to be closed off, currently estimated for the period 10 August to 15 November. The recommended route between the Central Block and the Laboratory Building is via the pedestrian bridge leading to the third floor of the Laboratory Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please note that some noise and dust should be expected during the construction period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The physical access points and functions located in the east and west sections of the second floor will remain open and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The glass elevator will occasionally be taken out of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The construction project will use the freight elevator in the west wing for the transport of equipment and waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The north entrance (2nd floor) will be used for certain larger deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Any works requiring short-term service interruptions (such as sprinklers, drainage systems, power shutdowns, etc.) will be coordinated with all affected parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The construction project will take place in close proximity to ongoing daily operations. Early in the construction phase, an opening will be made in the glass fa\u00e7ade facing the Analysis Hall, and a barrier separating the construction site from operational areas will be established. In addition, work such as cable installation and related activities will take place in the southeast corner of the Analysis Hall to establish the necessary connections to the extension in the atrium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
