How can we balance the potential of machine learning with privacy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artificial intelligence is challenging established boundaries for how sensitive data can be collected, analyzed and used. In Norway and the EU, this development unfolds in the tension between innovation and the protection of fundamental rights. New data-driven models make it possible to derive sensitive information \u2013 such as health, economic or security-related conditions \u2013 from publicly available data. How can AI be developed and deployed without undermining privacy, legal guarantees and public trust?
