Legal and ethical obligations may require you to share data both with other researchers and with the research community. Navigating between the desire or expectations to share research data, and the legal\/ethical concerns of protecting sensitive research data can be challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this webinar <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.uib.no\/en\/find-employees\/Janecke.Helene.Veim\">Janecke Helene Veim<\/a>&nbsp;(Data Protection Officer), <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.uib.no\/en\/find-employees\/Monica.Nielsen.%C3%98en\">Monica Nielsen \u00d8en<\/a> (Legal advisor at the IT dept.) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www4.uib.no\/en\/find-employees\/Christine.Stansberg\">Christine Stansberg<\/a> (IT dept.\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/en\/foremployees\/131011\/safe\">SAFE<\/a>)&nbsp;will give you an overview of what makes research data sensitive,&nbsp;explore some of the issues in managing and sharing these types of data and offer guidance in considering the issues inherent in handling research data in ways that address both legal and ethical concerns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The webinar will both present general legal, ethical and technical aspects of managing and sharing sensitive research data, as well as delve into some hands-on examples.
