Den 2. juni 2025 arrangerer Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine (NSHG-PM) sitt \u00e5rlige symposium i K\u00f8benhavn, Danmark. Arrangementet finner sted ved Universitetet i K\u00f8benhavns M\u00e6rsk Tower og vil fokusere p\u00e5 de nyeste mulighetene innen kunstig intelligens (AI) i nordisk helsevesen.<\/p>\n

Symposiet, som er gratis og \u00e5pent for alle, starter kl. 13:00 og varer til 17:30. Blant hovedtalerne er Sir Rory Collins, PI\/CEO for UK Biobank, samt ledende nordiske forskere som vil diskutere presisjonsmedisin og andre aktuelle temaer. Etter symposiet vil det v\u00e6re en mottakelse og en postersesjon.<\/p>\n

Den 3. juni kl. 13:00 til 14:00 vil Unnur Valdimarsd\u00f3ttir fra Universitetet p\u00e5 Island og Karolinska Institutet holde en spesialforelesning om COVIDMENT- og covidmentYOUNG-prosjektene. Disse prosjektene, som er finansiert av NordForsk, bruker multimodale data for \u00e5 studere COVID-19 og mental helse blant over 550 000 nordboere og andre europeere.<\/p>\n

I tillegg arrangeres det en workshop om datavisualisering den 1. og 2. juni, ledet av den innovative forskeren og illustrat\u00f8ren Cara Thompsen. Workshopen, med tittelen «Building Stories with Data», vil gi deltakerne tips om hvordan man lager klare og fengende figurer for \u00e5 kommunisere sitt arbeid. Plassene er begrenset, s\u00e5 det anbefales \u00e5 registrere seg tidlig. Medlemmer av NSHG-PM f\u00e5r rabatt.<\/p>\n

Registreringen er n\u00e5 \u00e5pen, og fristen for \u00e5 sende inn abstrakter er 20. mai. For \u00e5 kvalifisere for mulige korte foredrag eller reisestipend, m\u00e5 abstrakter sendes inn innen s\u00f8ndag 4. mai kl. 23:59 GMT.<\/p>\n

On June 2, 2025, the Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine (NSHG-PM) will host its annual symposium in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event will take place at the University of Copenhagen’s M\u00e6rsk Tower and will focus on the latest opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) in Nordic healthcare.<\/p>\n

The symposium, which is free and open to everyone, will start at 13:00 and last until 17:30. Among the keynote speakers are Sir Rory Collins, PI\/CEO of UK Biobank, and leading Nordic researchers who will discuss precision medicine and other current topics. Following the symposium, there will be a reception and poster session.<\/p>\n

On June 3, from 13:00 to 14:00, Unnur Valdimarsd\u00f3ttir from the University of Iceland and Karolinska Institutet will give a special lecture on the COVIDMENT and covidmentYOUNG projects. These projects, funded by NordForsk, use multimodal data to study COVID-19 and mental health among over 550,000 Nordics and other Europeans.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a data visualization workshop will be held on June 1 and 2, led by the innovative scientist-turned-illustrator Cara Thompsen. Registration is now open, and the deadline for abstract submission is May 20. To qualify for possible short talks or travel fellowships, abstracts must be submitted by Sunday, May 4, at 23:59 GMT.<\/p>\n
