The four themes for the 2026 edition are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/novonordiskfonden.dk\/en\/grant\/challenge-programme-2026-harnessing-biology-for-climate-resilient-and-healthy-soils\/\">Harnessing biology for climate-resilient and healthy soils<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/novonordiskfonden.dk\/en\/grant\/challenge-programme-2026-unravelling-the-pathways-of-human-invasive-fungal-diseases\/\">Unravelling the pathways of human invasive fungal diseases<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/novonordiskfonden.dk\/en\/grant\/challenge-programme-2026-modelling-human-cardiometabolic-disease\/\">Modelling human cardiometabolic disease<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/novonordiskfonden.dk\/en\/grant\/challenge-programme-2026-biological-systems-under-non-equilibrium-conditions\/\">Biological systems under non-equilibrium conditions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Challenge Programme calls for applications in open competition.
