In the recently completed EU project EXHAUSTION (Exposure to heat and air pollution in Europe \u2013 cardiopulmonary impacts and benefits of mitigation and adaptation), CICERO has examined the relationship between ambient heat and health consequences across Europe, assessed current health burdens, and projected them under various climate scenarios.
