Postdoktor Grethe Ueland<\/b> har i sterk nordisk konkurranse f\u00e5tt tildelt et Excellence Emerging Investigator Grant <\/i>for prosjektet «Autonomous cortisol secretion, a frequent cause og metabolic syndrome?» Vi som st\u00e5r rundt er ikke overasket n\u00e5r vi vet hva Grethe har oppn\u00e5dd p\u00e5 f\u00e5 \u00e5r. Midlene (10 millioner DKK) gir Grethe mulighet til \u00e5 kombinere forskning og klinisk endokrinologi de neste 5 \u00e5rene.<\/p>\n

Forsker Anette B\u00f8e Wolff<\/b> har ogs\u00e5 i knallhard konkurranse f\u00e5tt tildelt et Excellence Ascending Investigator Grant <\/i>for \u00e5 studere antistoffer mot cytokiner, som en mekanisme for autoimmunitet og med det etablere sin egen forskningsgruppe. Tildeling er et resultat av Anettes dyktighet, utholdenhet og entusiasme i studier av autoimmunitet og rollen til proteinet AIRE (autoimmune regulator) som i h\u00f8st f\u00f8rte til en publikasjon i Nature om tanndefekter ved APS-1 og c\u00f8liaki. Ogs\u00e5 dette stipendet er p\u00e5 <\/span>10 millioner DKK.<\/span>[:en]\"\"<\/p>\n

Postdoctoral fellow Grethe Ueland<\/strong> has been awarded an Excellence Emerging Investigator Grant<\/em> for the project «Autonomous cortisol secretion, a frequent cause of metabolic syndrome?» in strong Nordic competition. Those of us who know Grethe’s achievements over the past few years are not surprised by this recognition. The funding (10 million DKK) provides Grethe with the opportunity to integrate research and clinical endocrinology over the next 5 years.<\/p>\n

Researcher Anette B\u00f8e Wolff<\/strong> has also been awarded an Excellence Ascending Investigator Grant<\/em> to study antibodies against cytokines, as a mechanism for autoimmunity, and thereby establish her own research group. The award is a result of Anette’s skill, perseverance, and enthusiasm in the study of autoimmunity and the role of the protein AIRE (autoimmune regulator), which led to a publication in Nature last fall on dental defects in APS-1 and celiac disease.
