{"id":18808,"date":"2021-02-05T11:08:10","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T10:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/?p=18808"},"modified":"2021-02-05T11:08:42","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T10:08:42","slug":"vi-gratulerer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/en\/2021\/02\/05\/vi-gratulerer\/","title":{"rendered":"[:no]Vi gratulerer![:en]Congratulations![:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Researchers of the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1), Department of Clinical Science (K2), and Helse-Vest,<\/p>\n<p>The week of the 15th Annual Research Presentations by the Research School in Clinical Medicine has finished with great success.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the limitations coming with a pandemic, we had a satisfactory number of participants in Research School Presentations 2021.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of the event, <strong>23 projects<\/strong> were presented as a <strong>Poster Presentation<\/strong> in three sessions: Diabetes\/Obesity\/Nutrition, Cardiovascular\/Pulmonology\/GE, and QoL\/Neurologic\/Genetic\/Basic Science.<\/p>\n<p>The second day of the event was held with <strong>13 projects<\/strong> presented as an <strong>Oral Presentation<\/strong> in three sessions: \u00a0Basic Science\/Cellular, Epidemiology\/Clinical Trials, and Cancer\/Autoimmunity.<\/p>\n<p>All projects were awarded a <strong>Certificate<\/strong> for Successful Participation.<\/p>\n<p>Three projects presented by PhD candidates were awarded <strong>\u201cThe Best Poster Presentation Award\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First place winner:\u00a0 10 000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Philipp Strauss: \u201c<\/strong>Transcriptomic Characterization\u00a0of Renal Cell Carcinoma Patients with Progressive Disease Despite Low Initial Risk of Progression\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Second place winner: 5000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Martha Haugst\u00f8yl:<\/strong> \u201cPro-inflammatory adipose tissue macrophages are associated with insulin resistance in morbidly obese subjects\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Third place winner: 3000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tonje B\u00e5rdsen:<\/strong> \u201cLung function in extremely preterm born adults over three decades\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three projects presented by PhD candidates were awarded <strong>\u201cThe Best Oral Presentation Award\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First place winner:\u00a0 10 000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Karine Eid:<\/strong> \u201cPerinatal Depression and Anxiety in Women with MS: A Population-Based Cohort Study\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Second place winner: 5000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elvira Garc\u00eda de Jal\u00f3n: <\/strong>\u201cRepurposing 18F-FMISO for clinical PET\/CT imaging of nitroreductase gene-directed enzyme prodrug therapy\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Third place winner: 3000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Vibeke Fosse:<\/strong> \u201cCD24-targeted intraoperative fluorescence image-guided surgery leads to improved cytoreduction of ovarian cancer in a preclinical orthotopic surgical model\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Projects presented by Postdoctoral Researchers\/Scientists were nominated for the <strong>\u201cOpen Class Award\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Open Class Award: 10 000 NOK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Helga Midtb\u00f8: <\/strong>\u201cFitness is associated with lower inflammatory markers in obesity: The FATCOR study\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Project received the most votes from the audience was awarded <strong>\u201cThe People\u2019s Choice Award\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cThe People\u2019s Choice Award\u201d: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Aishwarya Pavithram:<\/strong> \u201cFunctional characterization of HNF1B variants enhance precision medicine in diabetes\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/en\/files\/2021\/02\/Award-Ceremony-2021.pdf\/\">For more details about presented Projects and Award Ceremony, please, \u00a0see the files attached to this email.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the organizing committee, we extend our congratulations to all participants and winners.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking forward to seeing all of you and your projects in the 16th Annual Research Presentations by the Research School in Clinical Medicine in January 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>Mona, Nils, and Nigar<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Researchers of the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1), Department of Clinical Science (K2), and Helse-Vest, The week of the 15th Annual Research Presentations by the Research School in Clinical Medicine has finished with great success.
