Personale og studenter mistet adgang til arbeidsplassen og studiestedet og m\u00e5tte finne nye l\u00f8sninger for \u00e5 holde hjulene i gang. K2-ledelsen har n\u00e5 spurt hvordan de ansatte har opplevd koronatiden. Her kommer et utdrag av svarene<\/p>\n<p>Takket v\u00e6re gode IT-l\u00f8sninger har mange kunnet jobbe effekt hjemme. Tiden har v\u00e6rt brukt til s\u00f8knads- og artikkelskriving, og m\u00f8tevirksomhet har kunnet fortsette p\u00e5 Zoom, Teams og andre plattformer. Likevel er det mange kritiske r\u00f8ster om at nedstengningen har v\u00e6rt for omfattende og rigid uten skj\u00f8nnsvurderinger. Helse Bergens personale har kunnet jobbe mer eller mindre som f\u00f8r med smittevernstiltak, mens UiB-ansatte ikke har hatt adgang til laboratoriene. Nedstengning av kjernefasilitetene er et annet punkt som kritiseres. Det kunne v\u00e6rt fullt mulig \u00e5 drive disse med n\u00f8dvendige smittevernstiltak. Spesielt har nedstengning og nedslakting av verdifulle fors\u00f8ksdyr p\u00e5 dyreavdelingen m\u00f8tt hard kritikk. PhD-studenter og postdoktorerer har v\u00e6rt spesielt skadelidende og krever kompensasjon for tapt tid. Etter at en s\u00e5 at Norge og spesielt Vestland hadde god kontroll p\u00e5 pandemien kritiseres UiB for treghet i gjen\u00e5pningen.<\/p>\n<p>Mange disputaser er avholdt digitalt, men erfaringene har v\u00e6rt ulike. Spesielt trekkes det fram at IT-supporten har v\u00e6rt mangelfull. Da det ble lov for 50 personer \u00e5 m\u00f8tes fulgte ikke UiB dette opp og holder p\u00e5 regelen om maksimalt 5 personer<\/p>\n<p>Erfaringen fra undervisningen er ogs\u00e5 delte. Mange undervisere har satt seg godt inn i kommunikasjonsverkt\u00f8yene og har f\u00e5tt til god undervisning. For andre har terskelen v\u00e6rt for h\u00f8y og hjelp til oppl\u00e6ring mangelfull. Her har vi et stykke arbeid \u00e5 gj\u00f8re da mye av undervisningen p\u00e5 de ulike programmene p\u00e5 K2 vil v\u00e6re digitale ogs\u00e5 til h\u00f8sten.<\/p>\n<p>De teknisk ansatte er gruppen som har hatt minst nytte av hjemmekontor, og har hatt for f\u00e5 oppgaver med hjemmekontor. De administrativt ansatte derimot har for det meste kunne l\u00f8se sine oppgaver. Digitale l\u00f8sninger og m\u00f8ter har i hovedsak fungert fint, men det sosiale fellesskapet og kollegaskapet er savnet.<\/p>\n<p>Oppsummert viser erfaringen at man m\u00e5 bruke lokale tilpasninger og skj\u00f8nn i smittevernstiltakene. Flott at man er rask til \u00e5 stenge ned, men man m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re rask til \u00e5 \u00e5pne opp n\u00e5r situasjonen tillater det. Staff and students lost access to their workplace and campus, leaving them to find new solutions to keep the wheels running. The K2 leader group recently made a survey to map how the corona crises has been handled. Here follows an excerpt of the answers and comments.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to good IT solutions, many have been able to work effectively at home. Researchers have spent time working on applications and writing papers. Meetings have been held using Zoom, Teams or similar platforms. Still, there are many critical voices that the shutdown has been too extensive and rigid, without local adaptions. Helse Bergen staff have been able to work more or less as before applying infection control measures, while UiB employees have not had access to the laboratories. Shutdown of the core facilities is another point that has been criticized. They could have been operated more or less uninhibited with necessary infection control measures. In particular, the shutdown and slaughter of valuable laboratory animals at the animal facility has been met with harsh criticism. PhD students and postdoctoral fellows have been particularly affected, and many ask for extension of their grant period. After seeing that Norway and especially Vestland has controlled the pandemic effectively, the UiB leadership is criticized for the slowness in reopening activities.<\/p>\n<p>Many public defences of doctoral thesis have been held digitally, but the experiences have been divided. In particular, it was pointed out that IT support has been deficient. When it was allowed for 50 people to meet, UiB did not follow up, but adhere to the rule of a maximum of 5 people, why?<\/p>\n<p>The technical staff is the group that has had the least benefit from home office, and has not had enough tasks to fill their time. The administrative staff, on the other hand, have mostly been able to work as usual. Digital solutions and meetings have mostly worked well, but the social community and the collegiate community has been sorely missed.<\/p>\n<p>In summary, experience shows that local adaptations and considerations must be used in the prevention measures. In addition to a quick shut down, one must also be quick to open up when the situation allows.
