Kostnadsoverslag bes lagt ved s\u00f8knaden. Det kan bli aktuelt med flere tildelinger.<\/p>\n<p>Retningslinjer for Falchs forelesning:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Forslagsstiller er Styret som kan invitere generelt anerkjente forskere p\u00e5 Nobelprisniv\u00e5 eller meget h\u00f8yt internasjonalt niv\u00e5 til \u00e5 holde en gjesteforelesning og\/eller seminar ved Det medisinske fakultet.<\/li>\n<li>Styret kan invitere ansatte til \u00e5 fremme forslag og dokumentere deres forskningsinnsats. Kriteriene kan v\u00e6re publisering i prestisjetunge vitenskapelige tidsskrift, internasjonale priser, lederfunksjoner i tungtveiende og aktive internasjonale vitenskapelige sammenslutninger og konferanser.<\/li>\n<li>Falch Lecturer b\u00f8r ha samarbeid med eller bidratt p\u00e5 annen m\u00e5te til forskningsvirksomheten ved Det medisinske fakultet. Dette er likevel ikke et krav for \u00e5 foresl\u00e5 en kandidat.<\/li>\n<li>Falch Lecturer tildeles diplom som markerer begivenheten.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Forslag sendes til okonomi@med.uib.no <em>innen 14\/2 2020<\/em> og behandles av styret i konsul S\u00f8ren Falch og \u00f8yenlege Sigurd Falchs fond for medisinsk vitenskap.<\/p>\n<p><u>Juniorpris for unge forskere <\/u><\/p>\n<p>Kandidaten m\u00e5 v\u00e6re under 40 \u00e5r ved s\u00f8knadstidspunktet. Det gis (dessverre) ikke reduksjon for ev. svangerskapspermisjon eller andre permisjoner.<\/p>\n<p>Fondets statuttar sier at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Form\u00e5let er \u00e5 fremme medisinske vitenskapelige arbeider<\/li>\n<li>Arbeidene skal v\u00e6re av stor vitenskapelig eller sosial betyding<\/li>\n<li>Arbeidene kan v\u00e6re fra alle grener av medisinsk vitenskap<\/li>\n<li>Arbeidene skal v\u00e6re fullf\u00f8rte<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Styret har fastsatt prisen til <em>kr 50.000,-<\/em> i driftsmidler til forskeren.<\/p>\n<p>Fremlegg til kandidater til prisen kan fremmes av instituttledere og professorer ved Det medisinske fakultet og skal inneholde:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kandidatens curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>Kandidatens publikasjonsliste<\/li>\n<li>Dokumenterte resultater av arbeidene<\/li>\n<li>Faglig omtale av forslaget (maksimalt to sider)<\/li>\n<li>En beskrivende fremstilling av kandidaten sitt arbeid i spr\u00e5kform for det alminnelige publikum (pressemelding)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>P\u00e5 grunnlag av fondet sine statutter tildeles prisen etter disse kriteriene:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Dyptg\u00e5ende, originale arbeider med metodisk kompleksitet.<\/li>\n<li>Forskingsfunn som har f\u00f8rt til anvendte resultater i form av ny eller forbedret diagnostikk, terapi eller forst\u00e5else.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Forslag sendes okonomi@med.uib.no <em>inn<\/em><em>e<\/em><em>n 14\/2 2020<\/em> og blir h\u00e5ndtert av styret i konsul S\u00f8ren Falch og \u00f8yenlege Sigurd Falchs fond for medisinsk vitenskap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dette er en glimrende anledning til invitere en h\u00f8yt profilert samarbeidspartner til et seminar eller m\u00f8te, og til \u00e5 f\u00e5 av deres beste forskere til \u00e5 skinne<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ha en riktig god helg!<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5l R. Cost estimates are attached to the application. Multiple awards may apply.<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines for Falch&#8217;s Lecture:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The proposer is the Board of Directors, which can invite generally recognized researchers at a Nobel Prize level or very high international level to hold a guest lecture and \/ or seminar at the Faculty of Medicine.<\/li>\n<li>The Board may invite employees to submit proposals and document their research efforts. The criteria may be publishing in prestigious scientific journals, international awards, leadership positions in important and active international scientific associations, and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>The Falch Lecturer should have collaborated with or otherwise contributed to the research activities at the Faculty of Medicine. However, this is not a requirement to propose a candidate.<\/li>\n<li>The Falch Lecturer is awarded a diploma marking the event.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Proposals are sent to okonomi@med.uib.no <em>by 14\/2 2020<\/em> and are being considered by the board of Consul S\u00f8ren Falch and Ophthalmologist Sigurd Falch&#8217;s Medical Science Fund.<\/p>\n<p><u>Junior Prize for Young Scientists<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The candidate must be under 40 years of age at the time of the application. There is (unfortunately) no reduction for maternity leave or other leave.<\/p>\n<p>The bylaws of the Fund state that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The purpose is to promote medical scientific work<\/li>\n<li>The work must be of great scientific or social importance<\/li>\n<li>The work can be from all branches of medical science<\/li>\n<li>The work must be completed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Board has set the Prize at <em>NOK 50,000<\/em> for operating expenses to the researcher.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals for candidates for the Prize may be presented by Department Heads and Professors at the Faculty of Medicine, and should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate&#8217;s curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>The candidate&#8217;s publication list<\/li>\n<li>Documented results of the work<\/li>\n<li>A scientific description of the proposal (maximum two pages)<\/li>\n<li>A descriptive presentation of the candidate&#8217;s work in the language of the general public (press release)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on the Fund&#8217;s bylaws, the Prize is awarded according to these criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In-depth, original works with methodical complexity.<\/li>\n<li>Research findings that have led to applied results in the form of new or improved diagnostics, therapy, or knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Proposals are sent to okonomi@med.uib.no <em>by 14\/2 2020<\/em> and are handled by the Board of Consul S\u00f8ren Falch and the Ophthalmologist Sigurd Falch&#8217;s Medical Science Fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is an excellent opportunity to invite a high-profile collaborator to a seminar or meeting, and to get some of their best researchers to shine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5l R.
