[:no]\"\"<\/a>Norges forskningsr\u00e5d st\u00e5r sammen med ti andre forskningsr\u00e5d*, EU-kommisjonen og det europeiske forskningsr\u00e5det (ERC) bak et krav om full og umiddelbar \u00e5pen tilgang til forskningspublikasjoner som de finansierer fra 2020. Initiativet g\u00e5r under navnet Plan S og de mulige konsekvensene en slik innf\u00f8ring vil ha p\u00e5 karrieren og forskningskvaliteten har skapt stor debatt i forskningsmilj\u00f8ene.<\/p>\n

Alle er enig om at \u00e5pen publisering er bra \u2013 det er veien dit som skaper strid. Forslaget inneb\u00e6rer at norske forskere med EU og forskningsr\u00e5dsfinansiering\u00a0 m\u00e5 publisere i s\u00e5kalt open access tidsskrifter fra 1. januar 2020 og utestenges fra det som i dag regnes som topp-tidsskrifter som Nature og Science. Nobelprisviner Edvard Moser sier forslaget vil f\u00e5 fatale konsekvenser for norsk forskning og norske forskere<\/a>, mens andre er mer positive<\/a>. Et av problemene er at store forskningsnasjoner som USA, Kina og Tyskland ikke har sluttet seg til ordningen. I Norden har Danmark valgt \u00e5 st\u00e5 utenfor.<\/p>\n

Administrerende direkt\u00f8r ved Norges forskningsr\u00e5d, John-Arne R\u00f8ttingen, kommer til UiB for \u00e5 presentere initiativet og delta i debatt med UiB sine forskere.<\/p>\n

Alle er hjertelig velkommen og det er satt av god tid til diskusjon og innspill fra salen.<\/p>\n

Amra og Eystein[:en]\"\"<\/a>Research Council of Norway together with ten other research councils*, the European commission and the European Research Council (ERC) presented an initiative for full and immediate open access to research publications they fund as of 2020. The initiative\u00a0is called Plan S and the potential consequences for career and research quality have sparked a fierce debate among researchers.<\/p>\n

Everyone agrees that open access publication is good, but how to implement it have initiated headed discussions. Plan S means that Norwegian researchers with funding from the EU and Norwegian Research council will be barred from publishing their work in journals like Nature and Science from 1 January 2020. Novel laureate Edvard Moses says that the plan will have catastrophic consequences for Norwegian science and researchers<\/a>, while others are more positive<\/a>. One problem is that large and active research nations such as USA, Germany and China have chosen not to be part of the plan.<\/p>\n

The Chief Executive Officer of Research Council of Norway, John-Arne R\u00f8ttingen, will visit UiB to present the initiative and participate in a debate with UiB\u2019s researchers.<\/p>\n

Everybody is welcome and there will be plenty of time for discussion and input from the attendants.<\/p>\n
